Project Phases
Phase One: Land Selection
Land Selection For Alden International Airport began on March 1, 2022, and was selected to be built on part of the Alden Sea. Phase One concluded on March 2, 2022.
Phase Two: Terraforming & Laying Base
Phase Two of the project begin on June 4, 2022. Construction crews began terraforming the land around the Airport's base plates. Terraforming includes removing two large hills in the middle of the Alden Sea. This will allow for crews to begin laying grounded base plates(plates that the runways, and terminal buildings will be built upon.
The current Base Plate will be 1000m x 1000m which will house three terminals and two runways. Eventually Alden will expand further to four runways and five terminals. Phase Two is currently incompleted.
Phase Three: Foundation Work and Runway Framing
Phase Three will seek that the start of all three terminal foundations are laid down. This phase will also allow crews to lay down the framework of the airport's 2 runways.
